[EN] Samra Buljić (1999) is currently pursuing her studies in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. She creates in various media, such as painting, drawing and digital graphics. Her main interests are exploring the complexity of the visible structure and the possibility of developing an indefinable or undifferentiated image, deriving the content from body horror, transmutation and different abstract entities. She participated in various group exhibitions: Adaptation (2023) in collaboration with Plaza Protocol, Terminal Drift (2022) at MoTA LAB, Appointment 7.0 (2023) and Appointment 4.0 (2019) at DobraVaga. 

Tear it down or let it be? Designed by one of the most important modernist architects, yet at once a far cry from a masterpiece. The object of study by artists, and simultaneously looked down upon by the average citizen. The TGH-48 parking structure is a contentious figure in the architectural landscape of Ljubljana. Built in 1969 and designed by Savin Sever to accommodate the modern car of the time, the proportions of the building now seem ill-fitted for the contemporary vehicle of choice. The pixelated glass façade reveals the interiors of the 475 garages, where silhouettes of cars appear to be outnumbered by scenes of haphazardly strewn junk. Within one of these garages, matter emerges and disappears. It appears unannounced, from the blind play of natural forces, with a tendency to mimic forms from its surroundings. It is instinctive and frees structures from the domination of the matrix.

[SI] Samra Buljić (1999) je študentka dodiplomskega študija slikarstva na Akademiji za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje v Ljubljani. V svoji praksi se izraža skozi različne medije kot so slika, risba in digitalna grafika. Zanimata jo kompleksnost vidne strukture in možnost razvoja nedoločljive ali nediferencirane podobe, ki vsebinsko izhaja iz body horrorja ter različnih abstraktnih entitet. Sodelovala je na več skupinskih razstavah: Prilagajanje (2023) v sklopu projekta Plaza Protocol, Terminal Drift v MoTA LABu (2022) ter Appointment 7.0 (2023) in Appointment 4.0 (2019) v DobriVagi. 

Prihodnost kompleksa se je znašla v negotovem stanju. Ali naj ga zravnamo z zemljo ali mu podelimo status nedotakljivosti? Načrtovan je bil s strani enega najpomembnejših slovenskih modernističnih arhitektov, kljub temu pa deluje kot spregledana mojstrovina. Morda je predmet študije umetnikov in arhitektov, a v mimoidočih pešcih betonska silosa navidezno ne vzbujata posebnega interesa. Garaža Savina Severja (TGH-48) se predstavlja kot kontroverzni lik ljubljanskega urbanizma. Ustvarjena za potrebe in mere povprečnega avtomobila poznih šestdesetih let, zdaj klavstrofobična luknja za sodobne terence. Na pol zamegljena steklena fasada usmerja pogled v 475 enot, kjer se poleg avtomobilskih silhuet razkrivajo še privlačnejši prizori naključno razdejane navlake. V eni od teh enot se pojavi snov, v katero je a priori vpisana njena spremenljivost. Pojavi se brez napovedi, iz slepe igre naravnih sil ter določenim nagnjenjem k posnemanju form iz okolice. Je nagonska in osvobaja tvorbe izpod prevlade matrice.
